The second colony was a doomed affair from the get go. Suffering difficulty finding a path to the summit of Thunderhead, many were lost on the trek. Upon reaching the summit, the colonists found a site near a large natural spring that fed into a pond. The colony struggled to get by under the leadership of Arahim Quintin, and eventually he was ousted by a mutiny of sorts. He remained a part of the community but was unable to inspire the trust of the colonists again, even when it became obvious that disaster was imminent.
After the colony had been settled for nearly two years, scouts began reporting sightings of human like beings in the woods, that would disappear instantly when seen. Most of the new leadership were skeptical of these stories, and disregarded them. Within weeks of the first sightings, the village was assaulted and razed. There were only a handful of young survivors that were saved by Arahim Quinten.
